1. My service learning mentor is Dennis Thorbourn and works part time at the Glasshouse.
2. I go there at least three hours before doors and help set up the stage. I connect equipment to an outbox which leads to both a house and monitor soundboard. I label the different channels on the soundboard, adjust the volume, and sync the mute buttons. Depending on the show, I will draw the lay out of the stage and where each instrument will be set up in what position, which every sound, lighting, and stage technician working that day will use as a reference. I call the bands from backstage to come and set up their equipment when the headlining band is done with their sound check.
3. I've learned what the tour manager's job is related to the venue, and personnel skills. I learned technical aspects about a tour manager's job as well as the social aspects.
